The Worse is Over? Improving Consumer Confidence

Thai Consumer confidence is improving, climbing 5  points from 81 in March 2009 to 86 in the second quarter, according to a Nielsen Global Consumer Confidence Survey released on 3rd August..

Feeling Confident? How about the Consumer?

Well not personally.

Consumer Confidence is extremely important in marketing any product or service, especially so for “high-ticket” items.

One good local source of information on the topic is the Thai Bureau of Trade and Economic Indices who produce a monthly report on Consumer Confidence in Thailand, as well as many other topics (such as pricing). Their website is in both Thai and English and can be found at:

ACNielsen have also produced an excellent Bi-annual global report on Consumer Confidence. This compares Thailand with many other countries, neighbours and those far away.

Worth checking back every now and then to see if a new repot has come out at:
