Skittles recently re-launched their website and what a website it is (or isn’t, in this case) – a corporate site that aggregates various consumer generated content (of it’s own brand) via a nifty little widget-like navigation? I’m not sure how effective a direction like this can be and I certainly don’t recommend it for everyone, but I must admit….I LOVE IT!
Why?….for starters, we get a brand that actually “gets it” – consumers shaping brands, marketers are merely facilitators, etc etc. We’ve all heard it before, but to see it in action is pure class.
